Goddess Groups at Daring Girls

Learn more about the incredible Goddesses who we honor at Daring Girls. Their deeds and qualities inspire the brave girls at camp to stand tall in the face of even the most fearsome foes.

ARTIO

Goddess of Bears & Nature

Artio protects the fragile natural world and is as powerful as she is mysterious. Her children, like her, are both kind and ferocious. They have strength and temper it with incredible intuition. These fierce demigods may not be quick to make friends, but once they do, they will fight furiously for them. Protection is in their blood, and they are most at home trudging through thick mud, dense thickets of trees, and surrounded by those they’ve deemed worthy enough to quest alongside them.

BAST

Goddess of Protection & Cats

Children of the goddess Bast share their mother’s ferocious nature. These young demigods are the most agile creatures around, making many believe they could be part feline. Children of Bast dominate any obstacle course or stealth mission. Besides their athletic skill, these demigods are also known for their huge hearts. Bast is known for being the protector of women and children, and this mission is reflected in all of her demigods. Talk about girl power.

FREYA

Goddess of Love, War & Magic

Freya is a powerful force of nature, and her children are no different. As the ruler of the Vanir, she is beloved by many for her loving nature but firm hand in ruling the Vanir. Her children find themselves naturally fitting in with everyone they talk to, allowing them to make a friend (and ally) out of everyone they meet. But don’t let this even temperament fool you! Like their mother, they are vicious fighters on the battlefield and an asset on any quest.

GAIA

Goddess of Earth

If Gaia is your patroness, you're an old soul. In fact, some scholars believe this nurturing goddess is the personification of the Earth! The Gaia Cabin believes that girls should take care of one another. Inspired by their patroness, these campers are known to be maternal, warm, and deeply loyal. They can be found crafting the perfect nymph house or helping to bake the perfect mud pie for all the woodland creatures. Mother Earth? More like the Gaia Cabin.

HECATE

Goddess of Fate & Magic

Hecate is magic incarnate, and her children carry a bit of that magic with them all throughout their demigod lives. Often ethereal and mysterious, the children of Hecate can be found lounging around camp crafting potions and studying spells. But don’t be fooled by their wit, a child of Hecate never backs down from a battle. These young demigods are an asset on any quest, as they possess both their mother’s mischievous nature and her gift for magic. And bonus – their spell casting abilities make them the fastest-healing kids around.

ISIS

Goddess of Fertility

Isis spends her days in the Egyptian underworld with her husband, Osiris, but you'd never know based on her resumé! She is the goddess of motherhood, magic, and healing. Her children are embodiments of the duality of her life. These campers have inherited both the magic of their mother and the wit needed to survive in the underworld. These young demigods are heroic on quest, as they are both maternal and ferocious! A week in the Isis cabin is sure to be filled with magic, mystery, and adventure.

SOL

Goddess of the Sun & Healing

Do you find yourself longing for summer year round? Are you known for your sunny disposition? Then the Sun goddess Sol might just be your godly parent! Children of Sol are beams of light at Daring Girls. They lead with kindness and compassion and try to be just as bright as the Sun herself. These young demigods see the good in every situation, making them an asset on Quest. Children of Sol offer kindness to all, from fellow campers to misunderstood monsters.

SELENE

Goddess of the Moon

Selene is a goddess of the Moon. Every night, she drives her chariot across the heavens, bringing the glow of the Moon to Earth. Much like their mother, the children of Selene are steadfast and reliable. These demigods possess work ethic like no other and spend their days perfecting their skills. Their meticulous nature allows them to excel in games of strategy and stealth. Children of Selene enjoy the peaceful moments of summer camp, from crafting the perfect tie-dye shirt to reading in the sun.
